It appears that the meeting reported in the Times-Gazette was a charter presentation meeting and was when the club was formed in Union City, Ohio. The paper published a letter in a later issue from their district president in Troy, Ohio congratulating them for joining the organization.

The membership above seems to represent both the Indiana and Ohio sides of Union City so it appears that they had a joint club chartered from Ohio. If anyone knows the history of the Kiwanis Club in Union City, and would like to add information, please contact Jane Torres or Billy Baker.
