PIERPONT [Ohio]-- Thomas E. Deeter, age 63, of Pierpont, OH, died Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 2005, of a probable coronary shortly after arrival at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.
He was born April 9, 1942 in Dayton, OH, and was a son of Charles Edgar and Lottie Mae (Weaver) Deeter. He was a Pierpont resident since 1953 and graduated from Pierpont High School where he loved playing basketball.
He was employed formerly at Ashtabula Bow Socket and later at Trans Plastics in Conneaut.
He was a true Elvis fan, and he enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, especially carpentry, and spending time with his family. He spent a lot of time doing his family genealogy.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Candela Deeter, whom he married July 3, 1999; his daughter, Veronica G. (Russell) Porter of Ashtabula, OH; three sons, Charles E. "Charlie" Deeter II at home, Thomas E. (Teresa) Deeter of San Antonio, TX and Lee E. (Jan) Deeter of Horseheads, NY; a step-son, Scott Lefik, Jr. of Ashtabula, OH; seven grandchildren, Taunya, Tasha, and Tiffany Deeter, Bobby Hanft, Tyler Porter, Josh and Justin Lakes; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father on August 6, 1998; his mother on August 16, 1998; and his sister, Diana Mae Paugh on September 26, 1989.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty Street, Conneaut, OH, with the Reverend Ed Diehl, pastor of Pierpont Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont, OH.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home Friday evening, June 3, 2005, from 6 to 9 p.m.
