Mr. Wesley Millett
Ansonia Oh.
Respected Cousin I feel it my duty to drop you a few lines this morning
with the Sad news that your father was buried yesterday after a sickness
of four days. I did not hear of his being so very bad until they came
here after the coffin. I went out right away to come back that evening &
tried to send a telegram To you but there was no office at your place
so I could not send it. We did not get any of the children here except
Dock & Jo & Elmira. I telegraphed Jo & he got here in time for the
funeral, he will stay here till Monday. He will give you the particulars
when you see him. Hoping this will find you all well.
I remain as ever your friend and cousin
John Millett
Portland Ind.
P.S. My family is all-well J.M.
