CAROLINE STRAIGHT (STRIGHT) TO JOHN CREVISTON, 4 March 1867, Darke Co., OH Page 252. Know all men by these presents That we E. F. Stright and Caroline Stright of the County of Darke and State of Ohio in consideration of One hundred and seventy-five Dollars to us paid by John Creviston of the same state and County the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant Bargain Sell and Convey to the said John Creviston his heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate situate in the County of Darke and State of Ohio and described as follows to wit. Lot number Thirteen in Fowlers addition to the Town of Union City in said County and State and all the Estate Title and Interest of the said E. F. Stright and Caroline Stright either in Law or in Equity of in and to the said premises together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging and all the rents issues and profits thereof. To have and to hold the same to the only proper use of the said John Creviston his heirs and assigns forever And the said E. F. Stright and Caroline Stright for themsel ves and their heirs executors and administrators do hereby Covenant with the said John Creviston his heirs and assigns that they are the true and lawful owners of said premises and have full power to convey the same and that the title to convey it is Clear, Free, and Unencumbered. Further that they will Warrant and Defend the same against all claims or claims of all persons whosoever. In Witness Whereof the said E. F. Stright and Caroline Stright have hereunto set their hands and seals this fourth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty seven. Be it remembered that on the fourth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty Seven before me William Newell a Justice of the Peace for said County personally came E. F. Stright and Caroline Stright the grantors in the foregoing Deed and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof to be their voluntary act and deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned. And this same Caroline Stright wife of the said E. F. Stright being at the same time examined by me Separate and apart from her said husband and to the contents of said deed being explained and made Known to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign Seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith for the uses and purposes therein expressed.
