This couple has been identified as James Dunham, Jr. and Margaret
Elizabeth Slonaker by a deceased person in my family, but that cannot be. James
Dunham, Jr. who died 1864 in the Civil War. Perhaps he is James Dunham
III, s/o James Jr., and his wife, Jennie WILLS? At this time a definite identification has not been made. It has
been suggested that the car could have been a county fair prop. One John
Harvey Dunham was owner of a car dealership, The Dunham Auto Company, in Greenville, OH but this couple
is not believed to be John nor his wife. Also, my DUNHAM family married
into the CREAGER family of Darke Co., OH. Other DUNHAMs married into these
families: MOSTETTER, MARTIN, REINECKE(R), & others. |

This is a picture that was among the photos mom sent
me. We have no idea who any of the people are. We're certain it was taken in Darke County, though, as all
the photos she had in this group had been. |
